An NBC executive said the shift was made to give 30 Rock a better lead-in audience to try to capitalize on the rising profile of Tina Fey.
Mags Go 3D (NYT)
With blinking lights, pop-up ads, kiss-on lipstick samples, scratch-off scents, melt-in-your-mouth taste strips, and even pocket squares, advertisers are stuffing magazines full of just about anything to make their advertisements stand out. Deb Riechmann of The Associated Press and Ed Henry of CNN have won the Merriman Smith Award for presidential coverage under deadline pressure. Riechmann, the winner in the print category, won for her coverage of President Bush's trip to Iraq's Anbar province last September. The judges praised her "solid reporting under the gun to make the very tight deadlines."

Did a Rupert Murdoch company go too far and hire hackers to sabotage rivals and gain the top spot in the global pay-TV war? This is the question a jury will be facing in a spectacular five-year-old civil lawsuit that is finally being tried this month in California but which has, oddly, received little notice from U.S. media.
