CNN Works to Keep Its Political Winning Streak Going (LAT)
The ferocious battle for cable news viewers is moving into its own general election mode and CNN is striving mightily to keep its primary winning streak going. The cable news network was the biggest beneficiary of the drawn-out Democratic primary, averaging 1.11 million prime-time viewers this year, a 50 percent boost over the same period last year. It's the best performance by the channel since the invasion of Iraq in early 2003.
Emeril Lagasse to Write Column for MSLO's Everyday Food (Mediaweek)
Emeril Lagasse will start penning a column in Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's Everyday Food, the first example of MSLO leveraging the celeb chef since buying his business in April. Fittingly, Lagasse's column, called Kick it Up Everyday with Emeril, will make its debut in the July/August issue, which carries a grilling theme. In his first column, Lagasse will share grilling ideas for summer barbecues.
