Six months after ABC anchorman Bob Woodruff was seriously injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq, his successor, Charles Gibson, is in the Middle East this week. His boss, Paul Slavin says there was no hesitation among ABC's management in sending the anchor of World News Tonight back to war.

Rebecca Dana: The most coveted prize in TV news is, in fact, easy to come by. For $350 a pop, any member of the winning news teams can pick up a supplemental trophy. Given the size of the nominated crews, that can mean a dozen or more statues in each of the 29 Emmy categories.
Consumer Reports Spinoff Is Legacy of Elizabeth Crow (MIN)
The August launch of the Consumer's Union's mag giving women advice on what to buy is the brainchild of CR deputy editor-turned-ShopSmart-EIC Lisa Lee Freeman, who pitched the idea to Crow. Crow passed away from stomach cancer in April 2005.
