Esquire Launches Spanish Version (AP)
A Spanish edition of Esquire hit newsstands Thursday as the venerable American men's magazine that prides itself on a thinking, cosmopolitan readership started reaching out in a language spoken by 400 million people. Gracing the black-and-white cover is someone who could not look less Spanish, Latino, or glitzy, even in an Anglo way Woody Allen.
A Litigious Week for Magazines Big and Small (Folio:)
Us Weekly this week was slapped with a $55 million lawsuit from a former editor who claims the magazine damaged her career when its staff allegedly accused her of stealing information about celebrities. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday, is the latest example in recent weeks of magazines facing legal action.
