In Addition to HBO Gig, 'Unboomed' Congdon Signs With ABC (Business Week)
Former Rocketboom host Amanda Congdon will regularly appear on the network's 24-hour digital channel ABC News Now and occasionally appear as a correspondent on the network's TV news broadcasts. She will also host a weekly video blog, or "vlog," on abcnews.com focusing on topics such as new media, politics, and the environment. FishbowlNY: A video interview with Congdon about LonelyGirl.
Ed Bradley To Be Remembered At Riverside Church (FishbowlNY)
Ed Bradley will be remembered next week during a service at the 2,500-seat Riverside Church honoring the legendary newsman who died last week. The service is slated for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 21. Additional celebrations are planned for Aspen, Colorado, where Bradley had a home. Sunday's 60 Minutes tribute to Bradley was watched by an estimated 16 million-plus, according to CBS: "Thanks to Ed, 60 Minutes will probably make the top 10."
New TiVo Feature Allows Sharing of Videos (WSJ)
TiVo has developed software that will let users download video from sites like Google Video for playback on TiVo recorders. The company also has cut a deal with the talent and literary agency International Creative Management through which the agency's roster of actors and directors will recommend films, TV shows and Internet videos that users can then easily record onto their devices.
Columnist John Tierney Leaving NYT (Eat the Press)
