News Corp. Splits Into Two: Fox News Now Part Of 'Fox Group' (TVNewser)
News Corp. has formally split itself into two. The company's newspaper and publishing businesses will become their own company, retaining the News Corp. name. News Corp.'s TV and film businesses will become part of what is now called "The Fox Group."

The first great iPad newspaper experiment is over. News Corp. has announced that it is shutting down The Daily on December 15, and that some staffers will head to The New York Post.

New York Times Offers Buyouts To 30 Newsroom Employees, Says Layoffs May Come (HuffPost)
The New York Times said on Monday that it will offer buyouts to some of its newsroom staff, and may lay journalists off if not enough people accept the severance package.
