Unlike other web sites, we do not allow employers to search through our resume database.

Here's how the system works:

• once you post a resume, you get your own private resume URL on our site which looks like this:
  http://www.mediabistro.com/resumes/JohnSmith11
  
  
• you decide which employers get your resume, because you forward your mediabistro.com resume URL to them directly

EXAMPLE: You've got the email address of an employer and you'd like to send your mediabistro.com Resume URL to that employer. Compose a letter to the employer, ask the employer to click on your personal URL for your resume and VOILA! It's done.

When employers call us with a special job that they do not want to post on the Web site, we will have a mediabistro.com administrator search the resumes for that special person by hand--and call or email you to let you know of the opportunity. Therefore, your PRIVACY IS GUARANTEED. We will never forward your resume along to an employer without first calling or emailing you to check if that is okay.
