Manage day-to-day email marketing team workflow; support team in the development, deployment and management of email marketing campaigns. Work day-to-day with email marketing software - prepare email messages, incorporate tracking functionality, import data, create list filters, perform QA on campaigns, launch campaigns. Experience in writing copy for email marketing and communications, conversion marketing. Person will be responsible for writing and occasionally editing a range of web and electronic communications from site messaging to emails. Will take projects from kickoff to final creative, while adhering to established brand guidelines and maintaining the highest level of quality. Must have the ability to organize, conceptualize and write for multiple time-sensitive web projects on a daily basis. Experience with targeting and segmentation; working knowledge of email marketing systems and ESPs. Knowledge of or experience with social and viral marketing a BIG plus.
Develop conversion based communications and strategies; including timing, frequency, targeting/segmentation, and messaging. Work cross-functionally with team to deliver on our email marketing strategy, developing detailed project specifications and providing end-to-end project management. Establish performance benchmarks and identify levers of improvement - design and analyze relevant reports, lead test/control design and execution, evaluate commercial and technical performance, and identify enhancement opportunities to maximize ROI. Track performance of email marketing strategies through measurement and analysis to understand campaign effectiveness; provide recommendations as needed to achieve goals; provide feedback and direction for future programs and campaigns. Execute all activities in a timely and accurate manner including weekly metrics/status reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with a diverse team to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing strategies.
Coordinate communications projects with vendors and contractors for the development and production of educational event promotional materials, web site production and other collateral.
Provide writing and editing support for all outbound member communication including all promotional materials, website content, a monthly newsletter, etc
Assist in developing new revenue sources through supplier membership, partnerships and sponsorships.
Track and analyze email and website performance metrics.
Manage sponsor and partner contract compliance
Manage content development and maintenance for events, sponsors and partnership pages of the website.
Manage, develop and execute email communication strategy and plan, along with event promotion strategies.
Work with Technology on database management process and strategies
Develop and prepare analytics of performance metrics for sponsors and partners
Research and develop viable partnerships.
Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to brand guidelines.
Manage Google Ad Words Accounts and research other social networking ad opportunities.
Manage LinkedIn postings of emails and event promotions
Review and report Google Analytics traffic sources, sponsor and partner traffic to the website.
Negotiate, draft and execture MOU with strategic partners
Prepare reports on racer registration, event attendance, and community and racer demographics.
Market/Brand research - develop rationale and support for initiatives through polling, focus groups, surveys, interviews and other baseline measures.
Design marketing analysis techniques.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research. Present conclusions and recommendations for actions.
Plan and execute announcement strategy to maximize increased exposure from branding/marketing efforts including events, announcements, celebrity support, media materials and powerpoint presentations.
Develop updated advertising/in kind options including print, broadcast and online in conjunction with ad agencies.
Qualifications:
Five or more years of experience in program development and or marketing
Strong copywriting abilities for email/site messaging.
Strong organizational, management and presentation skills.
Understanding of web-based communications.
Strong understanding of website metrics, ability to provide weekly metrics reports, including Google Analytics, Email metrics, internal leaderboard reports.
Manager level strategy and decision-making skills.
Experience in non-profit branding a plus
Requires excellent written and verbal communications.
Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
Resourcefulness in solving problems

Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Strong work ethic
A bachelors degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is required.
