National PR Firm looking for mid level professional to join its team either in Washington, DC or Chicago. Agency works in the professional services space with a focus on the legal industry and legal issues. Offices are in downtown DC and in the Loop in Chicago. We work as close knit very congenial team, but you must be a self-starter who can work independently and is up on current events, can spot news, has established media relationships, is able to develop and write compelling pitches to place clients' expert sources in top tier press, both electronic and print. The person who fills this spot must understand the regulatory process and the business world. The position involves pitching top tier media outlets nationwide. This employee needs strong people skills, writing skills, good media contacts, needs to know Cision's, must be very technology literate --- social media skills would be a plus. Minimum 5 years of PR experience in-house or in an agency. Do not apply if you are entry level, no 2012 or 2013 college grads need apply.
