Job Requirements RF|Binder has an excellent opportunity for a Director level account manager to handle exciting pieces of food and beverage business. This person should have a high level of experience in food and beverage PR and know key media contacts in both the consumer and business media.

The ideal candidate has a vast knowledge and interest in food trends and issues. This person should have experience managing multiple projects, product launches and new brand extensions.

- The Director is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the client team and projects. He/she participates in new business development and supports organizational initiatives.
- He/she interfaces regularly with clients, client service team members at all levels, finance department, business development staff, administrators and support staff.
- He/she reports to and is reviewed by a Managing Director.
- He/she has the discretion to work with and contract with select vendors and partners after consultation with his/her Senior Managing Director. He/she has limited authority to make commitments and expend Agency resources - within Agency guidelines and in consultation with his/her Senior Managing Director.

Primary responsibilities:
- Develop and cultivate relationships with clients and external audiences.
- Supervise day-to-day client projects and events to insure the quality of work meets client's needs and objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of major events for clients.
- Review materials (press releases, pitch letters...) prepared by Senior Associates and Associates.
- Develop material on complex issues (speeches...etc.).
- Develop and place appropriate stories by and about the client in business, and consumer media as needed.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication between the client and RF|Binder.
- Provide strategic insights and suggestions to senior colleagues and team members.
- Work with senior management to develop complete communications plan for the client.
- Work closely with a Senior Director / Managing Director on medium pieces of business.
- Business development: 1. Identify opportunities for additional assignments for existing clients. 2. Create first draft for new business proposals.
- Responsible for activity reports and other client administrative duties.
- Develop budgeting skills through organization of sub-projects on the account.
- Supervise several Senior Associates and Associates.

- Ability to budget programs and understand the financial aspects of the client relationship
- Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications:
- 4-6 years PR agency experience working on food and beverage related accounts
- BA or BS degree; graduate degree in specialist area is a plus.
