||ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages production of print publications, from creative development through delivery. Responsibilities may include developing theme and messaging, writing, designing, copyediting, proofreading and coordinating design and production with vendors. Publications may include invitations, calendars of events, event collateral, Healthy Community Giving Guide, Annual Report and marketing materials.
Supports event planning for Foundation events, ensuring alignment with the Foundation brand and strategic objectives. Responsibilities may include producing event collateral, coordinating with venue staff, writing remarks, and staffing events.
Working in partnership with the Digital Communications Manager, develops and manages promotional campaigns for Foundation products, programs and new initiatives (such as the Center for Community Partnerships) aimed at fundholders, potential fundholders, donors, nonprofit organizations and professional advisors.
Supports strategic communications planning by working with the organization’s senior strategy team on brand development, messaging and positioning. Provides editing services to all staff to support them in executing clear communications consistent with the Foundation’s brand and strategic objectives.
Ensures effective brand management by guarding and enforcing our brand graphic standards and messaging to ensure consistency and professionalism in all external communications.
Works with existing partners and develops new channels that provide visibility for The Seattle Foundation as the county’s leader in powerful, rewarding philanthropy, through events, media partnerships, promotional campaigns with external partners, etc.

Operate desktop computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, design and presentation software
Work on multiple activities concurrently; organize work to meet deadlines; and respond to changing priorities
Maintain confidentiality of the Foundation’s data and customer relationships
A combination of the experience, education, and training listed below which provides an equivalent background to perform the work of this position.
Excellent writing skills, with experience in e-communications, corporate publications, development appeals, and executive ghostwriting
Project management experience for complex publications, working with external design firms, photographers and other contractors to produce high-quality, error-free, brand-compliant publications
Experience with social media and digital communications to support Digital Communications Manager and help identify emerging online communications strategies that support organizational strategy
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
Experience copy editing/proofing
Ability to manage multiple projects with an eye for detail and quality
Familiarity with Microsoft Office SharePoint preferred
