||Responsibilities of the role include:
*Work with clients and agency top executives to create, develop and oversee strategic campaigns with national and local impact
*Write and edit pitches, releases, advisories, etc.
*Create media contacts and relationships, working daily pitching media and securing impact stories, with experience and knowledge of media to ensure prominent placement (i.e. cover and lead of stories)
*Stay on the pulse of media trend topics, themes, deadlines, issues, opportunities, etc. to constantly develop new pitch angles and event ideas that are relevant for the client and create news
*Manage internal processes and documents, including traffic reports, media logs, media reports, media lists, VIP databases, etc. to ensure every action moves forward into strong results and those results are tracked and reported in a timely manner
*Overseeing event concepts and strategies, including overseeing planners, managers, vendors, budgets, etc.
*Developing integrated marketing partnerships, from identification, exploration, development and implementation in campaigns, designing them to achieve marketing and press value
*Overseeing any jr. executives and interns to ensure proper delegation of work and oversight of results on deadline
*Experience developing campaigns that have national and local (Miami) impact
*Experience working directly with C-level execs and clients to counsel on PR campaigns with proven success
*Strong knowledge of media, experience with developing media lists, digging for best reporters to target for every story, strong relationships with National and Miami media
*Experience overseeing staff for clipping, creating reports, etc.
*Strong writing skills, AP style, and knowledge for writing for different types of media
*Excellent pitching skills that have resulted in numerous national and Miami placements per account, including cover stories
*Bachelor’s Degree (Communications, English, Marketing or Journalism preferred)
*Currently residing in Miami, FL
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Experience using Cision or other media database
*Strong knowledge of luxury market, real estate, design, non-profits, hospitality industry, events, etc.
*Involvement in community (via charities, work on boards, etc)
