Job Requirements Overview:
Advance the presence of the company and all its brands across all digital mediums, maintaining the voice and values of the organization.

Candidate must be a sophisticated writer and thinker, and well-connected communicator who understands how to engage with the wide variety of audiences we serve - consumer, trade, corporate, and social. Working closely with the Director of Public & Media Relations, he/she will be responsible for managing media inquiries, message development, writing and editing materials, and providing media relations counsel, among other responsibilities.

We are looking for a candidate who loves managing multiple critical projects from the ground up: from taking briefs, to converting them to detailed project plans, to ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, within scope, and all with a collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities:
- Spearhead direct marketing, PR, social media and brand communications strategy, content and budget (trade and consumer)
- Work with executive directors to develop and execute tailored marketing plans for each brand that still honors the overall company identity.
- Manage all social media presence, including content creation, copy development, postings, video content, digital design and implementation, as well as monitoring social media buzz and providing weekly analysis
- Strategize and execute the marketing portion of programs, sometimes with very limited supervision
- Be creative and strategic in the development of programs and pitch angles designed to garner media attention
- Keep regular status reports and control assigned project calendars
- Be proactively involved in marketing, public relations, corporate sponsorships, and annual events
- Manage key announcements, communicating with top tier media and trade
- Manage media inquiries and actively develop new relationships
- Attend industry events
- Potential travel

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Master's degree in a communications field desirable
- Well-versed in media and advertising industry trends
- 5+ years of experience in marketing; media industry background preferred
- Proven demonstration of exceptional creative/innovation thinking
- Strong communication/diplomacy skills with impeccable writing skills
- Fluent in social media and media ad placement
- Must be detailed-oriented, able to handle multiple priorities, follow-through each task to its completion and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills managing priorities and workflows
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in supervising, coordinating multiple projects with limited resources
- Strong sales and effective presentation skills
- Ability to work in high pressure environment
- Outstanding ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time efficiently, with an ability to adapt to changing deadlines and schedules
- Be a hands-on team player who demonstrates high level maturity, adding value, sharing creative ideas, and executing programs
- Successful track record of helping to build and present concepts/programs for a brand(s) and effectively executing programs
- The candidate should have a desire to learn about the industry in which the company operates
- A self-starter with the drive to consistently exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
