2009 PRWeek Award Winners, And Our Favorite Tweets

Awards091.jpg

We can imagine more than a few PR pros are getting to the office a little bit late today after last night’s PRWeek Awards. Roll International (the team behind POM pomegranate juice) won internal team of the year. Edelman won agency of the year. Coyne PR won mid-size agency of the year and LaunchSquad won boutique agency of the year. View the complete list of winners here.

Meanwhile, here are some of our favorite Tweets from the night:

From Dave Armon, former PRNewswire President:

Oops, comedian butchered Erica Iacono’s name.

Coyne has nine tables. Glad they finally won something or we risked a riot in here

Tricia Whittemore, Account Supervisor at Porter Novelli had a bad bathroom experience:

Let’s just say I would expect more from the restroom at tavern on the green. Ick!

M. Booth & Associates’ Alyssa Galella got a kick out of the host:

our host is a guy who was one of the final 5 on season 5 of Last Comic Standing haha

Laura Howe, Sr. Director, Public Affairs at American Red Cross National Headquarters enoyed the food and drink:

good dinner at #prweekawards. Getting full of wine too!

PRNewser was unfortunately not in attendance, but we hear the crowd ranged from giddy young PR pros (OMG, I’m at Tavern on the Green!) to older execs wearing a look of concern about the current state of the business.
