Here, you’ll be responsible for the development, execution and management of the channel’s consumer media relations plans. This includes developing and implementing goals and strategies for program publicity, public affairs, brand positioning and other network initiatives. AMC wants to create opportunities in the celebrity community, so you’ll undoubtedly be called upon to cover special events and develop talent relations.
But in order to rub elbows with Jon Hamm, you’ll need at least six years of PR experience at an agency or corporation, preferably in TV or cable. Launching scripted entertainment in consumer media and executing premieres, screenings, press junkets and film festivals should be second nature to you.
