Theano Apostolou has been named SVP of corporate communications and programming publicity for Starz Entertainment. She will lead all of Starz’s comms strategies and external affairs, based in Los Angeles. She replaces Tom Southwick, who retired last year.

Previously, she was SVP of publicity, talent relations, and promotional events for AMC leading consumer communications for the network’s original programming, events, and movie franchises such as The Walking Dead.

She has also worked on the PR agency side at MWW Group, DKC, and Ketchum.
