Atomic PR Wins Intuit and Polaroid Business

Did you hear about Lady Gaga‘s new gig as Creative Director with Polaroid? The multi-platinum artist made waves at last week’s Consumer Electronics Show — where the news was announced — and Atomic PR would like to take at least some of the credit.

The agency picked up Polaroid’s PR business, which Atomic co-founder Andy Getsey told O’Dwyer’s is among the agency’s “largest budgets to date.”

Atomic also just won work with Intuit’s personal finance group — which includes the brand’s popular Quicken products. Intuit recently acquired online personal finance services company Mint.com, and Atomic was Mint’s agency of record up until the acquisition. Mint.com’s CEO Aaron Patzer now serves as vice president and general manager of the personal finance group at Intuit.

“It was a very informal review process,” Atomic PR vice president Martha Shaughnessy told PRNewser. Aaron basically said, “I want to bring my PR with me.”

Outcast Communications was previously agency of record for Intuit’s personal finance group. Shaughnessy said since the acquisition, Mint.com has had it’s “highest rate of sign-ups ever.”
