Beyoncé Goes Digital

Beyoncé has launched a personal Tumblr, revamped her website, and has started tweeting. She’s posted exactly one tweet, promoting the new site, and already has more than 3.5 million followers. Amazing.

The Tumblr is a collection of family photos along with a lot of snapshots from what look to be some very nice vacation travels.

The site is a little more business, with talk of upcoming appearances at Revel in Atlantic City, her albums, and other parts of her body of work.

There’s also a section of the website called Beyhive that’s dedicated to the fans. It even comes with its own vocabulary.

Previously, Beyoncé had a very basic website and she and Jay-Z released pics of Blue Ivy on a Tumblr a couple of months ago.

It took a while for Beyoncé to go all in online, but the sites look great and they’re organized in a way that does what they’re supposed to do — cater to the fans who want to know more about her and share info about her music and concerts. Beyoncé and Jay-Z are famously private, so it even gives fans a look at what they do behind-the-scenes without getting too intimate and tabloid-y. Good stuff.
