Buffalo, NY Teacher Sends Note Home About ‘Smelly’ Kids

Teacher-sends-smelly-childrenAs a former vocalist and crack philosopher once said, “I believe the children are our future.” Yes, they are. And Buffalo pre-kindergarten teacher Sharon D. Perry Dunnigan believes a bath should occur in their immediate future.

The inspiring picture to the left confirms that Ms. Perry Dunnigan personally wrote a lovely letter informing all of her BUILD Academy parents about the many reasons that she wasn’t thrilled to touch her students this year.

Outlandish, WTF reasons:

Several children aged 3-4 are coming to school (sometimes daily) with soiled, stained, or dirty clothes. Some give off unpleasant smells and some appear unclean and unkept. It is a health and safety concern. It also makes it difficult for me to be close to them or even want to touch them. Enough said.

Yes, kids of Buffalo, New York. According to Sharon D. Perry Dunnigan, you stink. And, to add Kosher Salt to that open and rather funky-ass wound, she wanted the parent to verify receipt and sign the letter.

No fear of retribution. No concern for employment. No worry about the school board busting her in the mouth. And although the Buffalo School Board has “concluded that Perry Dunnigan should receive punishment,” there’s no promise that will happen. Yeah, that’s good PR. She’s got pictures.
