CNN.com GM: Obama Innauguration Likely To Be “Most Watched Event in Internet History”
Beet.TV’s Andy Plesser interviewed CNN.com general manager K.C. Estenson, who told him the Obama inauguration will likely be the “most watched event in Internet history.”
A CNN spokesperson told Plesser that in 2008, the network provided 83 million individual streams. The channel is looking to capitalize on the massive inauguration traffic by inserting, “30 and 60 second commercials throughout the live streams…Previous ads on CNN.com Live have been limited to 30 second pre-rolls shown before the start of a stream.”
