Dan Abrams on Morning Media Menu: “How We Structure This Business is Really What Makes it Unique”

NBC News legal correspondent and Abrams Research founder and CEO Dan Abrams was a guest on mediabistro’s Morning Media Menu this week. Abrams caught up with hosts Glynnis MacNicol and Steve Krakauer on his new media-strategy firm that connects business leaders with media professionals worldwide.

“How we structure this business is really what makes it unique,” he said. “We have all these freelancers, all over the world – in very particular specialties – who are available to businesses to consult on a whole range of issues, and I think that no one else is offering that.”

When asked by Krakauer how the relatively new business venture was going, Abrams responded, “It’s going great. It’s exceeded my expectations in terms of number of clients we have in this point in the business.”

In regards to other media consulting businesses recently launched, notably a high profile venture by NBC itself, targeted at women, Abrams said, “There’s no question that I think this business model is adopted by many moving forward, I certainly didn’t invent it, but I think we capitalized on it at the right time.”
