Three interactive shops — Blackrock Associates, Articulated Man, and Mayfield Strategy Group — have combined to form online communications and strategy agency Trilogy Interactive.
Brent Blackaby, co-founder of Blackrock Associates told PRNewser today, “as progressives are dealing with some challenges in the electoral landscape, combining resources under one roof seemed to make sense.”
“All of us have been working on projects for the last three or four years, this was sort of a natural next step,” he said.
The launch seems to be in part a response to the GOP improving their digital and social media strategy in recent years. Indeed, the press release announcing the agency said Democracts “must accelerate and innovate” to maintain their lead in online grassroots engagement and fundraising.
Trilogy’s client roster counts 22 Senators, including Barbara Boxer, Patrick Leahy, Chuck Schumer, and Dick Durbin. In addition, the agency has partners with experience from the Wesley Clark and John Kerry presidential campaigns.
