Edelman has appointed a firm veteran, Nancy Ruscheinski, as its first chief innovation officer for Edelman U.S. The appointment also comes with the global vice chair title, reporting directly to Richard Edelman. The new position is effective July 1.
Ruscheinski has been with the firm for 24 years and is now serving as president and chief operating officer for Edelman U.S., a position she’s held for three years. She’s also a member of the firm’s executive committee, based out of Chicago.
The new position has four priorities, according to the press release: to keep the firm’s offerings in line with the landscape of traditional, owned, social, and new media; move along the process of product development, especially in search, video, social, and mobile; make innovation a firm-wide endeavor; and look for new revenue streams.
