MediaPost, IAC, and the Beat Goes On...
PRNewser was on hand at Ultra in NYC last night for MediaPost's celebration of the September issue of Media magazine, with guest editor Bob Guccione Jr., best known as the founder of Spin magazine. In related news, Guccione recently told FishbowlNY that he wants to have a "multi-title company" within six months. For all of us PR pros pontificating on the future of media, you should dive in and start reading this issue now. Some of the PR people seen among the crowd included Trylon SMR's Matthew Caldecutt (this guy is everywhere) The Lippin Group's Matthew Biscuiti and Mallory Dash of Dukas PR. Our fearless leader Laurel Touby was on the scene as well, staying for a bit until heading out for a party at the IAC Building for 23andme.com. It was at this party Touby encountered Harvey Weinstein, and posted a PR related tidbit to her Twitter, "Weinstein to his publicist: 'We have to watch out what we say to these people.'"
