Executive Changes at B-M

Burson-Marsteller has named Nate Tibbits chair of the U.S. public affairs practice. Tibbits has served as the executive secretary of the National Security Council, which works with the President on national security issues. He also worked with President Obama as Special Assistant for Presidential Personnel in which he managed the nomination and selection process for 1,000 appointments across government.

The firm also named Johanna Schneider MD and market leader for the D.C. office. She was previously executive director of external relations for the Business Roundtable.

Finally, Laura Sheehan has been named MD and leader of the firm’s D.C.-based public affairs practice. She was previously SVP of public affairs at the American Gas Association. She has also previously worked in the energy and environment practice at FD Dittus Communications.
