Fist Versus Cake in Matthew Freud, Hugh Grant Dustup

London PR maven Matthew Freud — grandson of Sigmund and husband to Rupert Murdoch daughter Elisabeth — had a dustup with former client Hugh Grant at a party in London this past Wednesday.

Apparently Freud got wind of Grant calling him some four letter words at the party, after which he went up to Grant and smeared cake all over him. Grant retaliated by punching Freud in the cheek. Hence Freud sporting sunglasses the next day.

Never one to miss a PR opportunity, Freud emailed this picture of Grant’s cake stained shirt to the media. We’re just trying to figure if there’s a tie in to any one of Freud’s clients here. If you can spot one, let us know.
