Seven months after he announced he would be leaving Time Warner, veteran PR executive Ed Adler said today that he has joined consulting firm MediaLink LLC as Senior Partner. “MediaLink was one of the first advisory firms to recognize the complexity of the changing digital world and by doing so, has earned a great deal of respect by those in our business and within their constituencies,” Adler said in an email to friends and associates today.

It should be noted that this is a different Medialink than PR video vendor recently acquired by the Newsmarket and re-branded Synaptic Digital. Full statement and release from Adler after the jump.

Dear Friend,

As you are aware, I left Time Warner earlier this year after a long and productive career. Now, after some deliberation, I have decided to embark on an exciting new opportunity. Today, as the attached press release describes, I am joining MediaLink LLC as Senior Partner. MediaLink, with offices in Los Angeles and New York, is a leading advisory and business development firm that provides critical counsel and direction on issues of marketing, advertising, media, entertainment and digital technologies. My partners, Michael Kassan and Wenda Harris Millard, are two of the most respected and connected people in the media entertainment and tech industries. With them, I will be building a strategic communications practice offering my experience in corporate communications, media relations, crisis management and investor relations to MediaLink’s stellar roster of clients, as well as developing a business that will attract new clients who can benefit from my skills and experience.

Over the last several months, I have talked with many of you about opportunities and sought your recommendations regarding my career. Thank you for meeting with me and taking the time to share your sage advice. In that period of transition, I have been consulting with Time Warner, HBO and Vibrant Media, while taking on some additional projects. I have also joined the advisory operating network of Compass Partners, a private equity group investing in businesses in the information services industry. I am pleased to be staying in the evolving media industry and joining a firm that has critical expertise in that area. MediaLink was one of the first advisory firms to recognize the complexity of the changing digital world and by doing so, has earned a great deal of respect by those in our business and within their constituencies. At Time Warner some of my most exciting challenges involved working on issues regarding the digital transition of the media and entertainment businesses. I look forward to continuing that trend, working on those issues and others as I join MediaLink.

Starting today, I can be reached at xxxmedialinkllc.com. My phone number is xxxxx. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing ways in which we can do business together.

Best,

Ed Adler
