Found: Cyber Monday Pitch That Worked!

While there were many Cyber Monday pitches out there that may have worked, we want to highlight Mike Holden, Director of Public Relations at the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence, who was the first to answer our call.

ABCTE is a non-profit focused on recruiting and preparing professionals to change careers and become teachers. “We issued a press release last week offering a $100 discount on Cyber Monday on our $850 teacher certification program. An email also went out to our mailing list,” Holden told PRNewser.

So what were the results? “We scored a nice press hit yesterday from Anne Schroeder at Politico,” Holden said. “And the enrollment results we saw were big. 14 people enrolled using the discount code and an additional 8 people enrolled without it. That’s 22 new enrollments in our program on one day in December, which is typically a slow month. Last year, we had 48 enrollments for the entire month of December.”
