Gowalla Integrates with Foursquare
Gowalla has released the latest version of its iPhone app, which includes new features and an integration with its location-based app rival Foursquare.
With Foursquare, Gowalla check-ins will now be posted on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook Places, and Foursquare; users will get Foursquare Tips when they check-in; and you can earn Foursquare badges and Facebook Deals. Mashable also reports on some of the other changes, such as a new look and layout.
Gowalla CEO Josh Williams tells Mashable that the company intends to be a “socially curated guidebook” rather than another place for deals or games. Still, Foursquare could block Gowalla if it feels its business is threatened.
The app is heading to Android systems in 2011.
