Jon Stewart’s critique of the White House’s lack of coherence in selling healthcare reform is simple: be more like Bush. Get those Secretaries and spokespeople on point!
Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of Health and Human Services, said on CNN saying the public option is “not the essential element” of the administration’s plan. But White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and Linda Douglass, communications director for the White House Office of Health Reform have said the public option is necessary.
