MSNBC’s Carlos Watson and AKA PR Part Ways

AKA PR announced today that “effective immediately,” the agency, “no longer represents Carlos Watson, his 11am MSNBC Show, or The Stimulist in any fashion. This includes all marketing and PR efforts or investor outreach.”

Watson has taken some heat lately for comments he made on his show, “MSNBC Live with Carlos Watson,” where he asked, “if the term ‘socialist’ is becoming code for the ‘n-word.’” The Stimulist is a news site Watson launched this past May, which counts “six full-time employees in addition to paid freelancers.”

AKA PR would not comment further on the matter, except to say, “All of us at AKA wish him the very, very best with his endeavors!” Other AKA PR clients include Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell and Svedka Vodka.
