Richmond, VA branding firm O’Keefe Brands has become part of CRT/Tanaka. The move comes as the firm announces an executive new hire: O’Keefe CEO Kelly O’Keefe has joined CRT as chief creative officer. He’ll lead CRT’s branding function and manage the interactive and creative design practice from the Richmond office. Richmond, VA and New York are CRT’s dual HQs.

Patrice Tanaka will stay on as a chief creative officer as well, working out of the New York office. Tanaka will lead agency promotions and new business development. The firm is tapping into O’Keefe’s digital and social media expertise.

O’Keefe has worked with companies including GE and Walmart. He’s also a founding board member for the VCU Brandcenter, where he will continue to teach. Click here for a video interview with O’Keefe.
