February is one of those magic times of the news year — sweeps!
Take it from a hack-turned-flack, ratings can do funny things to people in the media biz. When you can influence sponsors purchasing more air time because of your pseudo-Peabody award-winning journalism, you tend to get the big head. You know, thinking you are really putting money into your station’s deep pockets; thus, securing your job for the next few months.
She’s a morning news producer at KSAZ FOX 10 in Phoenix. Vasquez surely knows the Suns suck, the Diamondbacks are so-so, and border patrol stories are old in the land of the desert sun. She’s jonesin’ for a story to do her part. And then, her big break: A drunk driver smashed clean through some family’s home. And she does this:
When this was caught, Juliana removed the tweet but not before it made news. Needless to say, she’s probably second-guessing her crack-like euphoria about the driver’s peril. Thanks to family blog TVSpy, we know she has ‘already been reprimanded’ for her jocularity; however, this is a serious #PRFail as well because again, ratings.
