Pitching ‘The Knot’: It’s Wedding Season All Year Round

There are 2.4 million weddings each year. TheKnot.com is the top wedding site on the Internet, according to executive editor Rebecca Dolgin. The print magazine has a distribution of 330,000 and the regional publications reach 1.2 million.

If you have a story about weddings, The Knot is probably on your media list. Besides listening to its “community,” Dolgin tells Mediabistro that the outlet is very responsive to pitches from PR pros, with about 50 percent of pitches being accepted.
