We’re going to begin previewing our weekly podcast guests and topics every Tuesday afternoon. Many of you have been listening in on Wednesday mornings – thanks! – and we felt it makes sense to give everyone an advanced heads up as to our topics for the week.

This week, we’ll discuss Twitter’s annnew advertising solution, “Promoted Tweets.”

The service will allow brands to run sponsored Tweets in keyword searches, similar to what they can do on Google. Later, the ads will show up in user streams, the company says.

sean rad.png On tomorrow’s podcast we’ll talk with Ad.ly CEO Sean Rad. Ad.ly is an “in-stream advertising platform that matches top-tier Twitter publishers with top-tier brands.”

We’ve covered the company’s work with celebrities like Kim Kardashian.

Does Twitter’s new offering mean Ad.ly is now toast? Rad doesn’t think so. He’ll tell us why. Tune in at 9 a.m. ET, or listen anytime via the archive on Blog Talk Radio.
