Porter Novelli has notched another big account win, beating out Fleishman-Hillard, Weber Shandwick and Edelman to be named U.S. PR agency of record for Monster.com. Advertising Age‘s Michael Bush reports the account is rumored to be worth $1 million.

Today’s win, coupled with PN being named one of three agencies to handle Walmart this past June, “could help start to sway the opinion of many industry insiders who believe the agency has been struggling for the past year or so,” said Bush.

Janet Swaysland, senior VP-global corporate communications and social media at Monster said Porter Novelli won the account in part because they, “really seemed to get what the job seekers and recruiters, who are our customers, are feeling and doing online and offline and that produced a really smart planning framework.”
