Remember in March when we told you that Facebook was looking for a head of PR? Well, they found one - he works for a little company called Google. You may have heard of them.

Kara Swisher, the pioneering, pint-sized WSJ reporter who seems to be receiving even more than her usual share of Valley scoops these days reports, "Elliot Schrage, Google's vice president of global communications and public affairs, will become vice president of communications and public policy at Facebook.

He combined breaking the news with his first pitch for the social networking site. Says Swisher, "Schrage confirmed his new job to BoomTown, right after he friended us on Facebook last night, using its new chat feature."

Shrage will report to another ex-Googler and now Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.
