PR Event News from Around the World

The PRSA has announced the nominees for its leadership positions for 2012. Among the candidates are Mickey Nall, MD of Ogilvy PR in Atlanta for chair, Kathy Barbour, comms manager at the Mayo Clinic for treasurer, and Elizabeth Pecsi, director of executive communications at Unisys Corp. for director-at-large. Nominations can also be filed by September 16. Voting will take place on October 15 during the PRSA International Conference in Orlando, FL.

Also, in case you didn’t see the tweet, Zócalo Group and the Chicago Tribune, organizers of Social Media Week in Chicago, are looking for sponsors, speakers, and volunteers for the event, taking place September 19 through 23.

And The Baltic PR Weekend has been scheduled for September 22 and 23 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Russian Public Relations Association (RASO), SPN Ogilvy, and the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) are the organizers of that event.
