Robert Gibbs On Pat Robertson’s Haiti POV: “Utterly Stupid”

White House Press Secretary (PS2POTUS) Robert Gibbs took a wistful moment this morning to address comments made by televangelist Pat Robertson concerning the natural disaster in Haiti. “It never ceases to amaze, that in times of amazing human suffering, somebody says something that could be so utterly stupid,” said Gibbs. In his addled mind, Robertson believes the earthquake is payback for the expulsion of the French in the 18th century, calling it a “pact with the devil.”

UPDATE: New York-based entertainment and lifestyle firm Dera, Roslan & Campion is working to blunt criticism of Robertson, reports O’Dwyer’s.
