Jack Laschever has returned to Forbes Media as CMO. He had previously been with the company as VP and group publisher. The previous CMO, Jorge Consuegra, has left Forbes to “pursue other opportunities.” [via Fishbowl NY]

Former Cantor Fitzgerald VP of communications Melanie Gordon-Felsman has joined 5WPR as VP. She will work with clients in the consumer, corporate, and technology practices. Gordon-Felsman has also previously worked on comms for Reuters.
CEO of Widmeyer Communications, Scott Widmeyer, has been appointed to the National Education Writers Association’s board of directors, a nonprofit comprised of journalists and professionals focused on education, the area of specialization for his firm. Widmeyer Communications has worked with the American Federation of Teachers, MacGraw-Hill, and others.
Bryan Mu has been named The Style Network’s VP of program and primary research. He’ll be looking for new opportunities across TV and new media and using primary research to identify trends. He was most recently VP of cable research for Sony Pictures Television.
Source 1 Sports, a new sports marketing agency, has launched in partnership with Source Communications. The firm is headquartered in Hackensack, NJ and has offices in New York and San Diego.
