Ruder Finn has signed an agreement with S&W Public Relations to expand its presence into the central and western provinces of China. With the strategic partnership, Ruder Finn will have access to S&W’s knowledge, insights, and resources in 21 cities throughout western China. S&W is especially active in Chongqing City and the provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan. (Release)

Twitter has hired Kate Jhaveri, who will take on the role of senior director of consumer marketing. She comes to Twitter from Facebook, where she served as consumer and mobile marketing head. During her time at Facebook, Jhaveri took the marketing lead on the company’s platform and credits products, and its preferred marketing developers program. Perhaps most notably, she launched the marketing campaign for the recent debut of Facebook Home. (AllTwitter)

GolinHarris and LinOpinion, one of India’s leading public relations agencies and a division of Lowe Lintas and Partners, have announced the formation of a joint venture to deliver enhanced capabilities to clients in the region and internationally. The new entity will be known as LinOpinion GolinHarris and has six offices in India. Established in 1994, LinOpinion is part of Lintas India Group. The agency provides corporate communications, public relations, and digital and social media services to leading brands such as the Times Television Network, Etihad Airways, JP Morgan, AMC and many others.
