Roll Call: Solomon McCown, MWW and MediaShift, Inc.

Solomon McCown has hired former ABC News Correspondent T.J. Winick as vice president. With nearly two decades spent in broadcast news and feature television, Winick brings the perspective of a veteran journalist to the agency’s award-winning media relations, communications training, and issues and crisis management capabilities. As vice president, he will conduct high-level writing and content editing across all client accounts and digital channels, and direct how the agency conceives and produces client videos. Winick comes to Solomon McCown after serving as a Correspondent and Anchor for ABC News based out of Washington, D.C., and New York City. During his five-and-a-half years at the network, he reported for Nightline, as well as weekend editions of Good Morning America and World News. (Release)

MWW announced that Ryan Smith has joined the agency as vice president. Smith brings more than a decade of media relations expertise and has represented top brands crossing a range of business categories. As a member of the MWW team, he will help guide media relations strategies for clients across many of the firm’s core practice areas including work for its consumer lifestyle marketing, corporate communications, public affairs consumer technology and healthcare clients. Smith joins MWW following a more than four-year stint at Rosica Public Relations where, as senior vice president of client and media relations, he led his team in core areas of agency practice including B2C, B2B, corporate communication, public affairs, crisis/issues management, event support and partnership development. MediaShift, Inc. announced two strategic hires recruited to lead revenue monetization efforts for its rapidly-growing network of WiFi providers and the operators of private WiFi networks such as hotels and airports. Paul Fusco joins MediaShift with more than two decades of digital media experience. As vice president of strategic partnerships, Fusco will be responsible for leading the monetization strategy for partners within the company’s premier airport network. During an accomplished career that spans more than two decades in digital media, Paul Fusco boasts a proven track record in corporate and start-up environments deploying new advertising products and sales programs. Prior to MediaShift, Fusco was senior vice president of sales and business development for Fareportal, a leading travel technology company. Jacob Kivett will assume the position of director of strategic partnerships and oversee revenue monetization efforts for MediaShift’s growing network of more than 5000 hotels. Kivett brings to MediaShift more than 15 years of experience growing account relationships with Fortune 500 clients. Most recently, Kivett was a senior account manager of global hotel chains at Booking.com, where he built the company’s affiliate program in the United States by developing distribution marketing and affiliate programs.
