Schwartz, Topaz, and Dodge Bring Home the Tech PR Gold

PRSourceCode named their Top Tech Communicators for 2008, with Schwartz, Topaz, and Dodge beating the field in their respective weight classes (over 60 employees, 26 to 59, and 25 or less).

Unlike the PRWeek Awards and other peer-reviewed submissions, the Top Techs are decided by journalists in the field. Over 800 members of the IT and business media are surveyed online.

Forty corporate PR departments are also listed as winners with bluechips companies you’d expect like Cisco, Google, IBM, Microsoft and Sun. Apple is noticeably absent.

Individuals receive special recognition too, as “honorable mentions” though it’s bit of a misnomer. It’s an unranked list of people who’s work is given special recognition.

If tech is your game, you may want to consider having a virtual sandwich with the top technology editors in the business by way of PRSourceCode’s free webinars. The first “Lunch with the Editors” of their new season is Rob Preston, Editor-in-Chief of InformationWeek on November 12.
