Social Media Use Allowed at Clinton Keynote

It was initially reported that those attending Bill Clinton’s keynote address at salesforce.com’s annual Dreamforce cloud-computing convention had been advised by the company’s PR firm, The OutCast Agency, that tweeting, blogging, or other social media use would be prohibited.

Yahoo News’ The Cutline reports that there has been a misunderstanding. A Clinton spokesperson said the event was closed press and that was taken as “no social media” by the event organizers. Actually, there’s no press risers or other setup, but social media won’t be stopped.

So rejoice! We will get the live-blogs and tweets we can’t live without.
