Sometimes The Headline Really Does Say It All

Wired blogger Bruce Sterling is the latest staffer there to issue an appeal to end the PR spam assault on his inbox.

In a post titled, “I’m Suffering An Evil Tidal Wave of Blogsurfing Public Relations Spam,” Bruce writes:

Man, no wonder Chris Anderson lost his temper with these people. They pounce instantly now. If I blogged about teflon frying pans, I’d get three marketing droids by morning all eager to exploit my grass-roots word-of-mouth blogging network to promote their &*&^$$%# frying pans.

He then follows up by adding commentary to a pitch from Virtela Communications, even including – gasp – the PR person’s phone number. To read the full pitch, click here.
