Walgreens has chosen Encompass Events, a division of Encompass Media Group, for its national “Walk with Walgreens” program, which encourages people to stay healthy by walking. To start, the firm will work on the launch event, taking place April 6 at the Walgreens flagship in Times Square. It will begin with a press conference and continue with an “inaugural walk” led by a marching band, Alison Sweeney, host of NBC’s The Biggest Loser, and others. The program is also part of Walgreens’ Go Healthy: NY program. A 12-episode television show produced by Encompass Media Group along with NBC New York and Union Square Agency will debut on April 27.
Definition 6 has added Vistage International to its roster of clients. Vistage is a for-profit organization for chief executives with 14,000 members globally. Definition 6 will provide PR strategy and execution services, work on social media initiatives, create a public affairs program to reach local government officials, and raise awareness for the organization’s own executives.
LG Display Co., a manufacturer and supplier of display panels such as OLEDs, has chosen Hill & Knowlton as its global AOR. Work will include messaging and campaign planning and execution across corporate and product comms. The account will be based in the Korea Synergy Hill & Knowlton office and will include the San Francisco office and H&K China to start.
Echo Media Group has three new clients: The Joy Factory, which creates accessories like cases and mounting systems for digital devices; The OpenCourseWare Consortium, a community of 250 universities and other organizations committed to opencourseware education and advancement; and Be There Bedtime Stories, a digital storytelling system that uses your webcam.
