We assume The Donald didn’t mean overcoming multiple bankruptcies to become a reality TV star, fake political candidate, Obama Birther troll, and walking Hair Club for Men promo. He must have meant the kind of recreational gambling that takes place at Foxwoods Casino, which just named 451 Marketing its PR AOR.
Foxwoods’ executive director of branding and marketing was “extremely impressed with the 451 Marketing team’s energy and innovation in their approach to public relations”, and 451 founding partner AJ Gerritson called the casino “an iconic brand and a true New England institution.”
The firm’s goal is to “elevate the resort’s profile”, which should be easy as it’s Anything but Ordinary(TM).
Bryan Soltes, vice president of marketing and business development, hit on Porter Novelli’s key selling point with this quote:
Their expertise in storytelling will be invaluable as they educate patients, care-givers and health-care providers about our multidisciplinary, personalized and unique approach to delivering extraordinary health outcomes.
That’s an endorsement right there.
DE-STA-Co named Simpson Communications its PR AOR. The subsequent press release describes Simpson’s newest client as a “material handling and automation equipment manufacturer” with a full line of “clamping, gripping, transferring, indexing and robotic tooling products”. We’re not quite sure what that means, but it makes us think of Transformers, and we hope that they’ll soon be able to add lightsabers to the list.
Tier One Partners was named AOR for Springpad, the personal assistant app that isn’t Evernote. Springpad CEO Jacqueline Hampton said “We did an extensive search for an agency partner and were drawn to Tier One because of the knowledge its team demonstrated of our business and how we can reach new customer sets”, so the lesson here is to impress your prospective clients with how well you know their products.
SPM Communications will be the PR AOR for eraclea Skin Care. “The patented HylaSponge® System technology” sounds a little strange, but this is more than your average zit cream with a pedigree—it was “created by…cosmetic marketing executive Morgan Hare and…former Columbia University medical faculty member and biotech research company cofounder Janet Denlinger”. Hare says “Our partnership with SPM will help us communicate eraclea’s anti-aging benefits, high-quality ingredients and clinically proven results”. We feel old at 34, so we’ll look for it in stores.
