Starbucks Re-Orgs PR, Wag Ed Executive Named VP, Global Comm. and Public Affairs

Starbucks is changing around its communications department, and has hired Waggener Edstrom’s Corey duBrowa [pictured] as VP, global communications and public affairs.
A Starbucks spokesperson tells PRNewser duBrowa will begin work on January 4th. He will lead the company’s relationship with agency of record Edelman. Starbucks has also previously worked with Waggener Edstrom.
In addition, Valerie O’Neil, currently vice president of Global Communications was named vice president of Global Partner Communications and will lead Public Affairs efforts. Investor Relations will move to the Office of the CFO under Troy Alstead.
The changes are part of efforts to, “sharpen our focus, consider resources and grow our experiences in order to support the company’s commitments as we move forward,” the spokesperson said.
