B5 Media, launched by Gawker.com founder Elizabeth Spiers, has grown to five blogs since 2009, each targeting women between the ages of 18 and 49: Crushable.com, TheGloss.com, BlissTree.com,Mommyish.com and TheGrindstone.com. The sites cover gossip, fashion and beauty, health, parenting, and careers, in that order. Traffic totals 3.5 million unique visitors per month.
“We’re not looking to get the last word on any subject. We’re looking to start the conversation,” Meghan Keane, editorial director, tells Mediabistro in the latest “How to Pitch for PR” feature.
Among the tips for pitching this blog network, be relevant and have photos handy.
