Style Network Campaign Targets Hispanic Women

L.A. DJ Yesi Ortiz will star in a new show targeting Hispanic women on The Style Network.
The Style Network is launching the “Latina Modern Mom” initiative, which will target Hispanic moms between 18 and 49 years old with new programming and makeovers of existing shows. (The Style Network is part of NBCUniversal, which has been focusing on the Hispanic female market.)
New shows include Single with 7, a reality show starring L.A. Power 106 DJ Yesi Ortiz, and The Riveras, about a family that owns two dance studios in their Queens, NY neighborhood. Style will also be adding more Hispanic faces to existing shows like How Do I Look? as well.
According to the network, its research shows that “acculturated Hispanic women” in this age group are twice as likely as other women to say they “follow the latest trends” and to look for fashion info on TV. And this demographic has shown heightened interest in shows about parenting and family life. Style says nine percent of its viewing population is composed of Hispanic households.
